Re: Frame relay ppoint vs. multi

2001-02-04 Thread CiscoDiety

With multipoint, you need to map the ip address to the dlci.

The way you have it set up is for p2p.

Also, don't forget to set your lmi type.

Multipoint config:

2000-09-15 Thread CiscoDiety

Hey everyone,

I have added some new docs to my Cisco training site.
Areas included are broken down by certification;

CCNA - CCNA Study Guides and Cheat Sheets
CCDA - CCDA Study Guides and Cheat Sheets
CCNP - CCNP Study Guides and Cheat Sheets
CCDP - CCDP Study Guides and Cheat Sheets
CCIE - CCIE Study Guides and Cheat Sheets

Feel free to use it as much as you'd like.

Also,
I would like to put up a new area for HP Openview Certifications, if you
have any documentation/cheat sheets/study guides for ManageX, Omniback II,
or Network Node Manager, please send them to me to post.

Re: Pre requisite for CCDP

2001-03-26 Thread CiscoDiety

Yes,
CCDA is a prerequisite.

To get the CCDP you need:

DCN (Designing Cisco Networks)
FRS (Foundations) (or the other three separate tests)
CID (Cisco Internetwork Design)

If you already have your CCNP, all you need is the DCN and CID.

Hey guys,
Do with it what you want.
Some people use it as a reference, others outright plagarize the work.
It's not for me to decide what you do with it, I just put it there.
I have an 18 year old High School Senior in my house, and I do know this;
Some teachers check for plagarism. He uses it as a starting point to write
his papers from, and for that, it works VERY well.

Also, the Website is more for me to hone my skills with (Yes, I do know more
than just Cisco stuff ;-))than anything else. The Essays were only a mere
excuse to build it :-)

Gayathri,

How are you routing the traffic? Are you using DLSW or RSRB?

Make sure you check your bitswap on the token interface also.

It took me about two weeks.

And the AS number comes from ARIN, not RIPE.

Re: NAT WITHIN An ETHERNET INTERFACE.

2000-09-01 Thread CiscoDiety

Configuring IP routing on a LAN subinterface is only allowed if that
subinterface is already configured as part of an IEEE 802.10, IEEE 802.1Q,
or ISL vLAN.

So, unless you have it in a switched environment, you're out of luck.

Dark fiber is fiber that is not being used. ie, no light is passed through
it, hence the term "dark"
