This is actually quite simple - all you need to do is
have all of your individual node .cfg data go to the
same file (mrtg.cfg) instead of individual ones.  As
you go along, the data will simply append to the end
of your existing mrtg.cfg file.  In my most recent job
(aka I am now looking!) I had about 30 routers
configured in a single mrtg.cfg file.  As a side note,
MRTG integrates really well into What's Up Gold,
creating a nice "clickable" map that somewhat
resembles HP OpenView's Network Node Manager.

I implemented a solution of What's Up Gold with MRTG
integrated into it (it gives the same feel as Cisco
Works Network Node Manager).  WUG is about $800, and
MRTG is free.  It was a solid management solution for
my former company for about 4 years.
