On to CCNP or CCDA?

2000-08-25 Thread Joe Quezada

Hello all,
I passed my CCNA test a couple of weeks ago. I am undecided on whether to
continue on to CCNP or to take the CCDA, being that it is only one test. Of
course, after the CCDA I would continue with CCNP. I know it really depends
on me and my work environment, but I just want to get some feedback from the
group.

Thanks.

RE: Serial0 is up, line protocol is down!

Just remember that "Serial0 is up" refers to Layer 1 and "Line Protocol is
down" refers to Layer 2.

Hello to All,

If Serial0 is up, line protocol is down, then what should I check? Give me
as many answers as you can.

BTW what is the line protocol? is it a network protocol like ip, ipx? or is
it the data link layer protocol?

Omer

Could someone please tell me how many tests there are in the CCNA track? I
have been reading Cisco Press' Introduction to Cisco Router Configuration,
but, oddly, nowhere in this book can I find anything but the most general
informatin on obtaining this certification. Thanks in advance.

RE: DHCP with two networks

2000-06-09 Thread Joe Quezada

You need to use the "ip helper-address" interface command on your router. On
the ethernet interface that does not have a DHCP server on it, use the #ip
helper-address . On the DHCP server, add another scope
with your other network addresses.

Hope this helps.

I have two networks and need to have DHCP enabled for both of them.
Currently, I only have DHCP on the downstairs network. How do I add
the other network to the DHCP server? Also, I have only one server.

thanks

months experience, James has 3 yrs. experience, makes 27K (not 29, again
that is Chad), and is pathetically under paid.

James: Call the folks in the ad below if they are anywhere near you. They
