Cisco->Checkpoint VPN problem [7:35890]
Hi , I keep ketting these messages on my Cisco router. When these messages show up the VPN goes down for a few minutes and then automatically fixes itself after a few more minutes. Here's the message: IPSEC (decapsulation):error is decapsulation crypto ipsec_sa_exists. crypto-4-recvd_inv_SPI: decaps: rec'd IPSEC packet has invalid SPI destaddr=x.x.x.x, prot=50,spi=0x2f0j2500 ( 535353526) The remote office Cisco router is connected to my firewall using an IPSEC VPN. It's using IKE for the keys. On the Checkpoint firewall1 encryption propeties tab it says "renegotiate IKE SA every 52 minutes" and "renegotiate IPSEC SA's every 3600 seconds. On the Cisco router if I do "sh crypto isakmp policy". I see the lifetime set for 3120 seconds ( which equates to 52 minutes). If I do a "sh crypto ipsec security-association-lifetime". I see 4608000 kilobytes/3600 seconds which also matches the checkpoint properties tab. Any help is appreciated. -- John A. Need advice on CCIE written
How difficult is the CCIE wriiten? I have completed CCNP and CCDP so far which was alot of work. A friend of mine asked me to give him my resume but before doing so I would like to add "Passed CCIE wriiten" to it. I'm thinking of taking this test within two weeks even though I did not study as much as I originally intended to do. So far I have read : "Internetworking technologies Handbook" front to back Cisco Switched networks ( has good ATM stuff in this book and allowed me to review the switched stuff ) Internet routing architectures I have extensive experience with OSPF and also have experience with BGP4. I have not worked with token ring , ipx or IBM technologies. I've worked with cisco routers for 3 years. I'm also reviewing The ACRC book again. Can this test be passed with this linmited amount of preparation? Again my goal is to say that I passed the "CCIE wriiten" for my interview which is comming up. Let me know your thoughts before I blow $200.00 bucks on this test. 3640 memory question
I recently upgraded my 3640 router to 64 meg of DRAM memory. A "show version" shows my memory settings like this: 58368k/7168k bytes of memory Do I need to adjust the memory allocation now? If so how do I do it and how should it be allocated? Voice over frame,many many questions.
I may be implementing a voice over frame solution in a few weeks and have started getting up to speed on this stuff. I have been going through many of the Cisco docs but I have not seen any scenarios similar to mine. My future setup will be this. A central site 3640 connected to a PBX and 6 remote locations with a Cisco1750-2v. Each remote soho office will have only one phone connected to the FXS interface. ---Cisco1750-2v With one phone connected --Cisco1750-2v With one phone connected pbx --->Cisco3640-Frame Relay Wan --Cisco1750-2v With one phone connected ---Cisco1750-2v With one phone connected ---Cisco1750-2v With one phone connected I have an unused Pri port in the Cisco3640 already. The PBX is a Northern PBX with a Pri T1 interface. I am willing to purchase the t1/e1 multiflex Voice card for the cisco3640 if it makes things easier. Tell me which card is easier to configure? I basically want to pass dial tone from the pbx to the remote locations. I want the remote location phones to look like OPX lines. Can this be done? Any help or sample configs will be appreciated. -- John Gesualdi The Providence Journal Company Phone (401)277-8133 Pager (401)785-6938 CCDP,CCNP ___ UPDATED Posting Guidelines: http://www.groupstudy.com/list/guide.html FAQ, list archives, and subscription info: http://www.groupstudy.com Report misconduct and Nondisclosure violations to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
