Switch Fabric? [7:52992]

2002-09-10 Thread Mann, Chris

Can someone please explain what is meant by a switch fabric? Or what is
means to have blades in your Catalyst switch that are fabric enabled?

Thanks,

Chris

MP vs. MMP [7:50198]

2002-07-30 Thread Mann, Chris

I am studying for the CID test and am a little fuzzy about what the main
differences between MP(Multilink PPP)and MMP(Multilink Multichassis PPP).
Don't they both combine ISDN B channels across multiple access servers or
routers?? Anyone out there have a better concept than I about the
differences between the two?

Thanks,

Chris Mann

2002-05-30 Thread Mann, Chris

Last week I passed the CIT test to get my CCNP. Will I get another
welcome aboard kit like I did my CCNA that has miscellaneous Cisco cert
stuff in it?

Thanks,

Chris

Cisco Devices in MS Active Directory [7:40095]

2002-04-01 Thread Mann, Chris

Can Cisco routers and switches be managed at all from with Microsoft
Active Directory, or some Active Directory snap-in? I tried looking on CCO
and Microsoft.com but did not see too much on how the two of them interact,
if at all.

Thanks,

Chris

RE: Study Materials for CCNP 2.0 Track?

2000-09-07 Thread Mann, Chris

I am now pursuing my CCNP also and want to use the Cisco materials for
studying. But looking at Cisco's web site it looks like they recommend BSCN
first. But that Cisco book is not released yet. Are the four CCNP courses
independent or does each rely on the preceeding courses?

Thanks,
