RE: VPN Issue [7:54702]

You can use the VPN Concentrator and create groups and set up routes to
specific networks or specific machines according to which group the person
logs in under.

RE: Ciscoworks 2000 [7:48211]

2002-07-08 Thread Mckenzie Bill

If you have Device Fault Manager installed, it has a tab that you can set up
an email address or messaging phone number that will send you an alert if a
device goes down. The problem with it is that you can't change the message
that you get from CiscoWorks, which is a really vague alert saying that
there has been an Operational Exception.

Hope this helps,
Bill Mckenzie

RE: Where should i go today :) [7:48173]

2002-07-05 Thread Mckenzie Bill

Morgan,
Just my 2 cents, but if you are already dealing with Networking in your
current position, the best thing you have on your side is time. You are
getting experience with every day at your job, and I believe that is the
most important thing. As far as what you should go for next...that depends
on what your goal is. If you are looking down the road towards the CCIE, I
don't know if it's imperative to take the CCDA/DP route.

Again, this is only my opinion.

Buy Vs. Virtual Rack Time for CCIE [7:40100]

2002-04-01 Thread Mckenzie Bill

I'm looking for comments about preparing for the CCIE Lab Exam.

Do you NEED to buy the equipment to build a home lab, or is it possible to
be enough prepared by practicing totally through renting rack time? (and in
this dream world, money isn't an issue)

I would really like to hear feedback about this.

Thanks

I subscribed to CertificationZone for their CCIE Written practice exam, and

O.k.

Let me re phrase my question. How important is it to know how to conevert
the RD into hexidecimal? I have the RII and the RIF but then a couple of
papers I read stated, and now the easy part...the RD, and then I'm lost.

Any help?
