ccie per hour rate [7:62894]

2003-02-12 Thread Paul Beckman
I want just general networking. Not really designing any really big
projects or anything.
How much per hour would be reasonable?

I have a favor to ask of everyone We are trying to put a case
together to present to Cisco about the caller name ID. We were
promised this feature when we bought our system (2 years ago) and
still do not have this feature. We understand that Cisco is looking
at the Display IE filed and our Telco and any Telco in our area are
sending it in the Facility IE field.

What we want to do is get a list of people or companies that would
like to have this feature as well, and any info about lost sales
because this feature is not available. If you would like to send me
your name and email address I will put it on a list that will be sent
to Cisco.

Thank you,

What are you using as a voice gateway? What type of ports in the
voice gateway?

We have been working with Cisco on a problem for about a year now
and have determined that we can not get caller name id on our
phone because Bellsouth is sending it in the facility ID field.
Cisco call manager will only look at the display IE field. We
have also checked with two other carriers and they also deliver it
 in the facility ID field.

My question is... does anyone get caller name ID on their phones
from external callers? And if so what carrier do you use and what
kind of switch is it being brought in on?

Cisco 7960 ip phones... [7:32006]

2002-01-15 Thread Paul Beckman

I have been told that the reason we are hearing echo on our phones on
internal phone calls (ip phone to ip phone) is that the ip phones processor
is getting overloaded. That the echo is really coming from the phone
itself. I have limited knowledge on this subject so any help or suggestions
on how to stop this echo echo echo echo..:-) is greatly appreciated.

Paul

call manager [7:28016]

2001-12-03 Thread Paul Beckman

I was wondering the best way to make a call manager redundant. We have two
servers but if one goes down then the phones have to reboot. I was
wondering if anyone had clustered a call manager. And if so anything I
should look out for.

Thanks
Paul

Call Manager. [7:20298]

2001-09-18 Thread Paul Beckman

I have a question about Cisco call Manager 3.1 and Active Directory. We
have installed the plug in but when we go to search for user in the
global directory in call manager we do not have any users. If we create
a user in call manager it will show up in call manager and active
directory. How do we get it to pull from active directory. And also,
after we do get it to pull, can I make it pull from more than just the
Users OU?

Thanks
Paul
