The keyword Bandwith doesnt mean that the bandwith is set to the said limit
Better still you can use rate-limit command

Re: Newbie Question [7:8933]

2001-06-18 Thread Richard Bosire

Hie..

Well , it more than "plugging" a modem to serial interface and dialin.. You
should check
among other things -

- wether you serial port is async or sync [ you need a physical async port
for for you
to attach your modem]
- you 'll need to configure your router to accept CHAP or PAP dialin by
creating an AAA
model

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/793/access_dial/async_backup_dp.html

- you can also use the AUX port ??? [
http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/793/access_dial/pppdialup.html ]

CCO is your best solution

Re: throttles and input drops [7:46406]

2002-06-18 Thread richard bosire

If you didn't get a solution , there is an issue with i82543, I got
this from some gentleman @cisco.com

" CSCdv33209 lots of throttles on the FE interface of C7200-I/O-2FE/E

is DUPed to

CSCdu09746 Add support for dynamic particle pools to i82543 GE/FE/E driver

which is resolved in 12.0(18.3)S. 12.0(21)S3 looks like the latest.

The fix is to make the interface pool management dynamic; it was static. "
