NAT question [7:42676]

2002-04-26 Thread Ricky Chan

Hi all,

I can't connect to my internal web server from outside even though I put in
the "IP NAT.." command. Is there anything else I missed? Please let me know.

Here is the command I put in the c2600 router:

ip nat inside source static tcp 10.0.0.5 80 141.155.121.134 80 extendable

Thanks

Ricky

How come I can't telnet to my router? [7:42444]

2002-04-24 Thread Ricky Chan

Hi all,

I configured a cisco 2600 router behind a ADSL router. It is working
perfect, but I can't telnet to my router from outside, it said the target
machine actively refused it. I pasted my router's configuration below,
please advice.

Thanks

No. Just you need CCDA, routing, switching, remote and Design to be
CCDP. No
need to have CCNA.

You must have the CCNA, CCDA, and the 3 CCNP exams (routing, switching,
and remote access), to qualify for the CCDP.

Correct me if I am wrong BUT,

You can take all the CCNP test first, but you wont be a CCNP until you
finish your CCNA.

IP NAT Question [7:40470]

2002-04-04 Thread Ricky Chan

Hi,

I setup a 2600 router behind the ADSL modem. My question is, how can I FTP
from outside which can convert the IP to my private LAN at home?

For example,

My public IP is 124.234.23.34/24
My internal FTP server is 10.10.10.2/24

If I FTP to 124.234.23.34, it can convert it to 10.10.10.2, how?

Please advice.

Thanks

Ricky

IPSEC question scenario [7:40025]

2002-04-01 Thread Ricky Chan

Hi all,

I have another scenario question and would like to hear from your expertise
opinion.

machine A 10.10.10.1/24
machine B 10.10.10.2/24
machine c 10.10.100.1/24

I configured IPSEC for all these machines. Machine A can talk to Machine B,
but Neither A and B can talk to Machine C. Obviously, Machine C belongs to
diff network. If I put a router in between. I need to configure IPSEC in the
router in order to let them talk to each other. Do you know how to complish
this? Thanks alot.

Ricky

Hi all,

My boss just come up and give me a senario question like this. He told me
that I owned a company which uses 3 different LANs, for example,
172.27.10.x, 172.27.11.x, 172.27.12.x. But I only have one cisco 2600 series
router and 2900 series switch. I can't use the serial ports from the router.
Just the two ethernet ports (by default). My question is, is it possible?
Please advice.

Thanks

Ricky

Can you give me more detail about it? I know that trunking is just port map
to port base...how to configure it so then it can allow three different
networks? Please let me know.

Thanks

Configure trunking (ISL or 802.1q) on the router (you'll only need one
ethernet port) and put three VLANs on the switch.
