DSPU router connection over SDLC [7:4779]

2001-05-16 Thread Sharma, Srikanth

Hi everyone,

1. I am setting up a router FEP_DSPU as a DSPU PU
2. Router FEP connects to router FEP_PEER via serial s3
3. FEP_PEER is a DLSW peer router connecting TCP/IP over a serial
   link to CC_PEER via s2
4. CC_PEER is a DLSW peer and connects to router CC_DSPU via s1.
5. CC_DSPU is configured as a DSPU host.

[CC_DSPU]---[CC_PEER]---[FEP_PEER][FEP_DSPU]
  s1 s2s3

a. The DLSW peers are working fine.
b. When s1 and s3 links are replaced by Token ring I have end-to-end
connectivity.

How can I configure s1 and s3 to work as SDLC links instead?

Thanks a lot

Regards

Srikanth

RE: ISDN SIMULATOR

2001-03-27 Thread Sharma, Srikanth

Hi everyone,

I am trying to rig up a complete Cisco 4500 from a bunch of spares.
I did not have any flash and used the flash from a defunct 4000. I
get the following message

System Bootstrap, Version 5.2(7) [rchiao 7], RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)
Copyright (c) 1994 by cisco Systems, Inc.
C4500 processor with 32768 Kbytes of main memory

device does not contain a valid magic number
boot: cannot open "bootflash:"
boot: cannot determine first file name on device "bootflash:"

System Bootstrap, Version 5.2(7) [rchiao 7], RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)
Copyright (c) 1994 by cisco Systems, Inc.
C4500 processor with 32768 Kbytes of main memory

rommon 1

How can I proceed from here and download an image for the 4500 from a tftp
server?

Thanks a lot

Rgds
