Can anyone please tell me why I get garbage in
hyperterminal when I  try to access  my 2503 from the
console.

My settings are  9600-8-N-2 and I think I have the
right cable as it worked  before.

Hi all

is it possible to set a fail-message when somebody tries to access a router,
which has a telnet restriction with an access-list ?

e.g.

you apply an access-class to the line vty 0 4 as incoming. all sessions
which are not allowed to access, get the message 

telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Connection refused

is it possible to change this to " not authorized! Bye!" or whatever .

appreciate any comments.
