What are the links to those CCO tests? BTW, I have CCO access.

Thanks a lot.

Re: BCMSN exam

2000-10-08 Thread Victor Jia

I just finished the test yesterday. Only basic Multicast questions were
asked, for example, translate a multicast IP address into a MAC address,
what charactristics make Multicast different to Unicast and Broadcast, basic
IGMP features. The questions about MLS were also simple, few HSRP questions
were asked. Most parts of the exam were about VLAN, Trunking, VTP and STP. I
was weak in VLAN since I used Cisco Press BCMSN book which doesn't declare
VLAN, and VTP very clearly. I suggest you look for other materials for the
VLAN part.

Generally speaking, Cisco books are better. But not all of them. I don't the
BCRAN book from Ciscopress is good one, there are many mistakes. On the
other side, dispite the mistakes, it's a good book for exam since it
includes all the concepts might be tested.

Re: disconnectign telnet sessions

2000-10-26 Thread Victor Jia

First, put in "show user" to see in which lines the users telnet in. In this
way you also get ip addresses from which all the users conncect in order to
distinguish you from other users.
Second, type "clear line xx" to disconnect other user, where xx is the
his(her) line number.

about every question, there's only one answer. '*' present my wrong choice.

Thanks a lot.

  B. Efficient address allocation within an area

  C. Support for discontiguous subnets

  D. Overrides the need for route summarization
Question 15 of 72.
On Cisco routers, the OSPF router ID .

  A. is the highest IP address on an active interface

  B. is the lowest IP address on an active interface

*C. may be used during the DR and BDR election process

  D. answers a and c

  E. answers b and c
Question 16 of 72.
When using Enhanced IGRP in large scalable networks, why is additional EIGRP
configuration required?

  *A. to be hierarchical

  B. to adjust only WAN bandwidth because EIGRP is preconfigured (Plug and
Play)

  C. to be monitored by the administrator

  D. to create manually entered summary routes
Question 21 of 72.
For an OSPF network operating in NBMA mode, which statement about becoming
neighbors is true?

  A. Partial mesh and hub and spoke topologies are supported

  B. Neighbors will be dynamically learned

*C. Separate subnets assist with the location of neighboring routers

  D. DR/BDR will be elected if more than two routers exist on the Frame
Relay network
Question 29 of 72.
In Frame Relay pure multipoint topologies, manual configuration of bandwidth
should be equal to _.

  A. the lowest CIR value

  B. the sum of all the CIRs

 * C. the product of the lowest CIR multiplied by the number of circuits

  D. the average CIR for all of the circuits
Question 39 of 72.
Which statement is true about any route redistributed into BGP?

*A. It must already be known in the IP routing table.

  B. It must be aggregated by the BGP router.

  C. It will automatically be put in the IP routing table.

  D. It will be preferred over routes learned with the network command.
Question 41 of 72.
Which is NOT a benefit of manual route summarization in EIGRP networks?

  A. Smaller routing tables

  *B. Boundaries for query packets

  C. More rapid convergence

  D. A route to the null interface
Question 46 of 72.
Which information is included in an OSPF link-state database?

  A. the best paths a router can use

 * C. a router's directly connected links

  D. a router's directly connected neighbors
Question 49 of 72.
Configuring the ip default-network command on a Cisco router running the RIP
routing protocol _.

  A. causes a default route to be inserted in the routing table of that
router

  B. causes a default route to be sent to the router's neighbors

*C. causes a default route to be inserted in the routing table of that
router and to be sent to the router's neighbors

  D. does nothing, since the RIP protocol communicates all routes with the
neighbor routers
Question 56 of 72.
Which statement about OSPF operation in multiple areas is NOT true?

  A. SPF calculations are reduced

  B. Routing table size is reduced

 * C. Convergence time is reduced

  D. Different LSA types are required
58
A router running which protocol(s) will automatically summarize its own
routes?

  A. OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP

  B. OSPF and EIGRP

  *C. EIGRP and BGP

  D. OSPF

  E. EIGRP
66
An optional transitive BGP attribute _.

  A. must be recognized by all BGP implementations

Question 72 of 72.
The Internet uses a _.

  A. hop-by-hop routing paradigm

  B. cost-by-cost routing paradigm

  C. hop-by-cost routing paradigm

 * D. paradigm that allows an AS to send traffic to a neighboring AS, so
that the traffic takes a different route from that taken by traffic
originating in the neighboring AS
