CCDP or CCIE [7:40732]
Good Day All , I am curious to hear from people who did their ccie straight after completing the ccnp and also from anyone who did the ccdp in between as well. I would like to jump straight into the ccie and i think that is what i will do; but i would like to hear what others have done. i just passed the CIT test yesterday. :) thanks in advance amanda Message Posted at: http://www.groupstudy.com/form/read.php?f=7&i=40732&t=40732 -- FAQ, list archives, and subscription info: http://www.groupstudy.com/list/cisco.html Report misconduct and Nondisclosure violations to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
i am receiving spam [7:40572]
Hi All, I am receiving SPAM from someone. The return address says [EMAIL PROTECTED] The letter then asks if i would like some practice questions. I clicked yes and it sent me a list of questions to look at. The questions all had wrong answers. ... as in way wrong I don't really know how i got on this guys email list, but i am only a member of a couple of cisco study groups so i was wondering if anyone else here is getting this stuff too? RE: Pass CCIE,CCNA,CCNP,exams at your first try! [7:40434]
Well said James!!! Good luck with the CIT, but it looks like luck doesn't have a great deal of influence on it :-) amanda Message Posted at: http://www.groupstudy.com/form/read.php?f=7&i=40573&t=40434 -- FAQ, list archives, and subscription info: http://www.groupstudy.com/list/cisco.html Report misconduct and Nondisclosure violations to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
parsing error for SNMP packets [7:38030]
Good Day All, I am having some problems retreiving SNMP information from one of my routers here. As long as I send an SNMP get to the IP address of the dialer interface, the router returns the required information. If I send the same SNMP get request to the Ethernet interface or the loopback interface, the request times out. I setup debug SNMP packets on the router and performed the SNMP get commands again to the router. The router sent the required information for the dialer interface and returned a "parsing error' for both the ethernet interface and the loopback interface. Has anyone ever dealth with anything like this before? regards, amanda Message Posted at: http://www.groupstudy.com/form/read.php?f=7&i=38030&t=38030 -- FAQ, list archives, and subscription info: http://www.groupstudy.com/list/cisco.html Report misconduct and Nondisclosure violations to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
RE: Passed CSIDS [7:34131]
Chris, Thanks for that... I am working on CCNP right now, but the security is next on the list. I noticed you are from Cleveland I am originally from ohio myself. I bet it is cold right now. Anyway thanks for the information and congradulations :) !! Passed Cisco Switching [7:34189]
Thank you to all who post and answer my questions. I am 3/4 of the way there. :) I hope to get a book on Troubleshooting this week. I used the Cisco Press Study Guide and a bit of Cisco Interactive Mentor (CIM). I didn't really like CIM though. I found the labs to be very confining. You could only enter certain information and could only show certain things. Has anyone else used CIM in preparing for exams I would assume that you could not use it at all to prepare for the cisco ccie lab because it is so limited. regards amanda Message Posted at: http://www.groupstudy.com/form/read.php?f=7&i=34189&t=34189 -- FAQ, list archives, and subscription info: http://www.groupstudy.com/list/cisco.html Report misconduct and Nondisclosure violations to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
RE: SPAN question for 6000 IDSM [7:33757]
Good Day Telemachus, I don't think you can span multiple vlans to the same port. A VLAN is a broadcast domain. regards amanda Message Posted at: http://www.groupstudy.com/form/read.php?f=7&i=33774&t=33757 -- FAQ, list archives, and subscription info: http://www.groupstudy.com/list/cisco.html Report misconduct and Nondisclosure violations to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Cisco Interactive Mentor [7:32796]
Good Day, Has anyone had any luck using the CIM products. I have the switching CIM and have been a little disappointed with the labs. I am very confined in what commands I can enter. The simulation software doesn't even correctly reflect the changes i have made when using the show commands. Finally, VTP isn't working correctly on the switches. There are only 2 switches in my domain. Both are configured with the same domain name. I checked this about a dozen times. Actually both are configured as servers because the program would not let me configure one as a client. Anyway, to make a long storey short, it doesn't matter which switch i make changes to vlans on the changes are not seen on the second switch. Has anyone been successful with seeing VTP working properly in the CIM environment? regards, amanda Message Posted at: http://www.groupstudy.com/form/read.php?f=7&i=32796&t=32796 -- FAQ, list archives, and subscription info: http://www.groupstudy.com/list/cisco.html Report misconduct and Nondisclosure violations to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Re: Is CCIEprep on crack or what ? [7:32787]
Good Day Guys, I am looking for a reference for CCIE study. I am currently a CCNA and schedualed to take the Switching exam in about 2 weeks. After that , I will only need the CIT for CCNP. I noticed that you said that if you prepared well for CCNP that the CCIE wasn't that much further. I hope that is true. I have been working with cisco products for about 4 years now. I have been slow at getting certified , mostly, out of a lack of confidence Well... out of laziness and a lack of confidence. Are you a ccie regards, amanda Message Posted at: http://www.groupstudy.com/form/read.php?f=7&i=32795&t=32787 -- FAQ, list archives, and subscription info: http://www.groupstudy.com/list/cisco.html Report misconduct and Nondisclosure violations to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
RE: CCNP Switching Exam 640-504 [7:32023]
Thanks for that, I am schedualed to take the exam in early Feb. I read the chapter on ATM and also have a background with ATM so i thought it was pretty easy; but i remember that it was a bear to learn it for the first time. regards amanda Message Posted at: http://www.groupstudy.com/form/read.php?f=7&i=32138&t=32023 -- FAQ, list archives, and subscription info: http://www.groupstudy.com/list/cisco.html Report misconduct and Nondisclosure violations to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Errors in CCNP Switching Exam Guide [7:21636]
Hi All, I have found numerous errors in chapter 3 of this book. I am really disappointed as this is from cisco press and i expected a better effort than this from them. Can anyone recommend a more accurate guide? RE: Passed switching [7:20868]
Hi Alex, Congradulations on passing the switching exam. I am just starting to prepare for that one. I just did the Remote Access exam today. I used the cisco press BCRAN course book, an old ACRC book, and cisco product descriptions to prepare for the exam. Anyway, thanks for the recommendation on the books, I will look them up. thanks amanda Message Posted at: http://www.groupstudy.com/form/read.php?f=7&i=20884&t=20868 -- FAQ, list archives, and subscription info: http://www.groupstudy.com/list/cisco.html Report misconduct and Nondisclosure violations to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
