easy VPN tutorial ... [7:43901]
Does anyone know of any websites with an easy to follow guide, or easy steps for creating 'client to Pix VPN' ??? I'm having difficulty setting this up ... I've even tried PPTP with no authentication without success ... I am using ver 6.1 for the Pix and 3.5 for the Cisco VPN client ... Any help or suggestions would be greatly welcomed ... Kind regards ... Paul ... PPP Dialin no post dial in screen
Hello Maybe someone can help. I have a 2620 set up to recieve incoming ppp dialin sessions and assign both IP and chap authentication locally. This all works fine and I have to fill in the windows dialin screen with relevent username and password and then the post dialin terminal screen also. I don't however wish to have the post dialin screen to have to do the username and password all over again but when I remove it from the dialin settings it doesnt work. Basically it sits there saying veryifying username and password on my windows screen for a minute or so before bombing out. Doing a debug ppp authentication gives me nothing which makes me think the username and password isn't even getting there. How do I automate this process so that I don't have to have the post dialin terminal screen??? Thanks Paul Doyle CCNP _ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. RE: 2509 Router configuration
Also Why do you want to run at more than 10 meg half duplex? Even with every other connection (2 sync serial and 9 async) running full pelt I bet your ethernet port is not a bottleneck. Remote Dialin - HELP!
Hello I am having some difficulty getting my head around a problem when I set up a user to dialin to our access-server via a modem connection using PPP. If I set the access server to assign an address froma local-pool or a default address there is no option for setting Mask and Default gateway. Which means when I dial in I get an incorrect mask and a gateway of the assigned address. It's slowly driving me nuts. even if i set the address remotely by using ppp in the post dial terminal screen i still get no option for mask etc. Am I missing something obvious? Please put me out of my misery. TIA Paul _ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com.
