Invest your money in some examcrams instead if you are going to go that
route. Their CCNP stuff wasn't that great IMO.

Chapter 2 of the Cisco Press CIT book started life as an edited version of
the Internetworking Technology Overview. If you know your technology, you
don't need that chapter. It is not taught in the CIT class, though it is
included as an appendix to the student manual.

You should concentrate on the other chapters, especially ISDN. The test has
a bunch of ISDN questions, including quite a few things you'll never see,
at least not in the US. ISDN troubleshooting can be different in other
countries, I realize. You probably already know about my flash cards, but
just in case you don't, see this URL:

Good luck!

Hey, i have the "Designing Cisco Networks" (DCN) book, and i've read
through it. Then i took the practice exam in the back of the book, and
passes it with an 85%.. I'm signed up the the test tomorrow, but i'm REALLY
worried about it. It's just that i spent FOREVER practiceing and studying
for the CCNA, and when i took that test, i passed, but just slightly. It's
just that this book makes the CCDA out to be REALLY easy. I'm expecting to
go into the test, and come out bomming it, and loosing the 100$ i paid for
it. Bah, oh well. I suppose if i passed the CCNA, and the practice exam,
i
can pass the CCDA... Hmm, if i weren't 17, and i had a job, failing might
not be such a big deal, but how it is, saving allowences takes for freakin
ever. Anyways, I want to tell you all, i don't like the DCN book, and i
find it REALLY lacking. I'll tell you what happens tomorrow afternoon.
Peace out guys.

The correct answer is C.
n a link layer network such as Frame Relay, the network sends messages with
the forward
explicit congestion notification (FECN) or backwards explicit
congestion notification (BECN) if there is congestion. With the DTS
feature, the traffic
shaping adaptive mode takes advantage of these signals and adjusts the
traffic descriptors. This approximates the rate to the available bandwidth
along the
path.

FECN as use to inform of the available bandwith.

   I would choose answer a.

Answer b corresponds to what is called the BECN.
The reason that it is a trick question is that the immediate reaction

I'm sure there will be at least one question about subnetting so make sure
you know how to do it.
It doesn't occupy as big a percentage as the routing protocols do (EIGRP,
OSPF, and BGP) but it is definately something that you need to understand
and be able to solve (for the test and for your career).

 Hey,

Just wondering if anyone knows how much subnetting there is on this test,
with questions such as determine the # of networks/host/broadcast address
of
 a given ip address

 thanks!

A 5 section case study that I think is real good.
