Go the www.ciscopress.com and search for book for test 640-901. You will
find a free download on the complete chapter on ISIS which is required for
the CCNP routing exam.   Hope this helps.

  no where to be found...  Is this a new protocol?  Or does someone know
  where I can find a good over view?

It stands for Intermediate System to Intermediate System, I believe it has
been around for
a while. Cisco.com is where I usually start for information.
