was it not set up to log its info to a logserver?

remember that a switch is a layer 2 device and it doesn't care about ip
addresses. it just forwards/broadcasts packets at layer 2 based on mac
addresses. if the packet isn't found in its broadcast domain, it then
forwards the packet to the default router which looks at the IP address.

3500XL switch IP log [7:14198]

On a 3500XL does it log all traffic?  And how can I look at it to find out 
which port on the switch had a specific IP address at a specific 
time?   Thank you.
