RE: A couple of Grand

2000-11-13 Thread Watson, Rick, , OUSDC

just my .02, and it is what I try to relay to some of my peers.

Even if you had let's say 10K to invest in stock or study material...what
would you do?

10K would buy quite a lab, and reference material that will turn around and
give you a return on investment of more than ANY long term holding (stock).
The average return on a 10K stock investment in a good year could be 100%
giving you 20K..(if my math is right..not trying to get too involved). But
that same 10K investment could give you a jump in continuous annual earnings
of more that 100K. Which you could then take more than that 10K to invest in
some up and coming IPO's (I know of a few...oops...did I say that?)

Investing in yourself...is the best investment...especially if it will help
to raise your standard of living. Even though some may say "I am not in it
for the money"...I say I AM...!! I love the work...which in turn pays me
well...gotta love it..!!

Just my .02 (which will be used to buy my next router/switch)...

Rick

Subject: A couple of Grand

A few months ago I was debating with a friend weather to take some
supplemental income and invest it in a Cisco lab or Cisco stock. He thought
I should have invested it in Cisco Stock. He invested in Cisco stock at $70
or something like that and I invested in a couple 2501's and so forth. So
far it's looking like I made the right decision. Time will tell.
