RE: Break Command
Perhaps I wasn't so clear... Is there a way to "disable" the break command in IOS so that any of the break sequences will not work? perhaps something like (config)#no service break -- or -- (config)#no service enable ?? Re: Break Command
It varies per Application you are using.. Check here: http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/701/61.html this has various procedures to break with and has helped alot everytime I destroyed my lab. :) HTH Dave On Monday 02 April 2001 17:06, Nathan Chessin wrote: > Is there an IOS command that will disable the break sequence on a router? > I can't seem to find any documentation on this. Break Command
Is there an IOS command that will disable the break sequence on a router? I can't seem to find any documentation on this. Thanks in advance Nate _ FAQ, list archives, and subscription info: http://www.groupstudy.com/list/cisco.html Report misconduct and Nondisclosure violations to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Re: Break command under hyperterm
The "Pause" key, generally located up by the Scroll Lock and Print Screen keys on American layouts, should also have 'Break' written on it somewhere. I don't remember if you use the SHIFT or Control key with it, but hit both of them real fast as the router boots and it will drop you into rommon. I've done it with Windows 9x and Windows NT, but I vaguely remember a problem getting it to work under Win2000. Re: Break command under hyperterm
Hyper teminal is notoriously bad with the break sequence commands. Search the archives regarding this issue. I downloaded the hyperterminal personal edition (free upgrade to the hyperterminal supplied with win 9x and NT4.0 (see hyperterminal splash screen for URL) which solved the problem. I beleive the win2k version doesnt work either..? Hope this helps.
