Hello all, I have a cisco 4003 switch to which I plugged an Intrusion detection system which is running in promiscuous mode. what I was expecting to see is only broadcast traffic and I was planning to do port mirroring to monitor other network traffic.. The funny thing is that I could see all traffic moving back and forth between machines on all ports. (Looks like a Hub behavior). I plugged in a Sniffer Pro and I could see the same thing!!!
