I am using the Cisco CID Exam Certification Guide (cisco press) by Mike Crane. It is better than the Cisco Internetwork Desing from cisco press. The book comes with a test engine on a CD. Thats a tough exam. I used Robert Padjens and Todd Lamles Sybex CID study guide. That was certainley adequate. I also took a Boson exam or two. the worst part is all the old technologies and the old Stratacom switch stuff and LANE. Cisco badly needs to revise this old and outdated exam. Its from at least back in 1997! Good luck! James, I took it in july and used the ciscopress exam guide, Boson test #2 and some prep material from www.ccxxproductions.com . Like everyone has said at examnotes.net in the forums it is a wordy exam but I found it to be fairly easy and passable. Just keep in mind that it is a "concept" exam and make sure to brush up on all of the areas and you will do fine. One thing I have done that has always helped is to pool about 400 questions and go over them each day a week before the exam. Best-o-luck to ya!
