Hello

I have read in a previous post that the CCIE R/S
program is dropping token ring stuff. Is that true or
does anyone know when will that be effective ?
Does anyone with experience with the lab know how much
does the token ring stuff is needed ? Is it worth
buying a Cat 3900 for a home lab or would getting
online rack access work as fine ?
any information is greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

2002-03-20 Thread Dennis Laganiere

There's been talk about removing it from the Lab, but I doubt it'll
disappear from the written until they do a re-write. They still have
Appletalk, DECnet and LANE on the written blueprint, and these have long
since been removed from the Lab...

Get online access for the 3900 it is enough. Be very sad they are removing
Token Ring from the lab, there are the easiest points you will receive on
the lab.

Exactly. And the biggest question of all is what are they going to be
replacing it with. I don't see this as making the exam easier at all.
