From what I understand, a Cisco 4000 can goto a MAX of 16MB DRAM and 4MB
flash. The 4000M can goto 32MB DRAM and 8MB Flash.

Yet on CCO, for IOS 12.0 they show software for the "4000" platform that
requires 8MB Flash. they have a seperate listing/software for "4000M".

Can a normal, non "M" model 4000 goto more than 4MB flash and 16MB
 DRAM?!?!

Re: Cisco 4000 / 4000M

2001-02-22 Thread Chris Hagen

On the cisco website, it metions a replacement daughter card that allows
flash SIMS:

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/access/acs_mod/cis4000/4000c
n/4078mem.htm

And on memoryx.net, it mentions this as well, but after many hours of
fruitless web-searching I've yet to come across a part number or anythign
for this beast... anyone ever seen one/know how to get one?

2001-02-22 Thread Michael Hall

This page talks about the different memory configurations of the 4000
series. It looks like part MEM-NP8F (2 4MB Flash simms on daughter card)
might be the answer. Does anyone else have any experience with this?
