Does switching on same card use backplane BW? If, say, I am doing MLS ( L3 switching ) on a CAT 5000, and I setup two hosts, one on port 1 and the other one port 2 on the same card ( ws-x5201R which does the L3 MAC rewrite itself ), does this type of setup use any backplane bandwidth?
Or does it still have to pass through the SUP?
