Re: How to get rid of "Loading network-config ... [timed out]
I believe is something to do with no service statement on the top of the config file , can't remember what is the exact service to remove but this is it --- Roger Wright <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Dear Networkers, > > Please tell me how to configure my 2611 router so > that I don't constantly get > the following messages: > > > Loading network-confg ... Re: How to get rid of "Loading network-config ... [timed out]
In global config mode enter: no service config Then: copy run start At next boot up it will not try and auto load configuration files from a network server. Complete explanation is here: http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios113ed/cs/csprtf/csprtf2/cscfgfil.htm#12622 (watch that wrap) Tom Lisa, Instructor, CCNA, CCAI Community College of Southern Nevada Cisco Regional Networking Academy Roger Wright wrote: > Dear Networkers, > > Please tell me how to configure my 2611 router so that I don't constantly get > the following messages: > > Loading network-confg ... Re: How to get rid of "Loading network-config ... [timed out]
Do a show run. Somewhere near the top, there should be a line that says "service config". Remove it by typing "no service config" in global config mode. -Rob Fielding, CCNP - Original Message - From: "Roger Wright" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Friday, September 15, 2000 12:06 PM Subject: How to get rid of "Loading network-config ... Re: How to get rid of "Loading network-config ... [timed out]
Try, "no service config". For some reason, the router tries to load the files from a tftp server first, so you tell it not to with that command. K - Kristopher B.
