How do you do that I thought that if say, you had 10.1.1.1 as the IP for your outside interface. Then you could not use 10.1.1.1 as the PAT'ed address !!! I tried this two months ago and it failed (Ver 6.2) !!! So I had to use a different IP address as the PAT'ed address ie. 10.1.1.2 ... Therefore I ended up having to use two Public IP addresses ... one for the interface and the other for the global NAT/PAT ... Please tell me if Im incorrect !!! Come on, guys. I hate to put it to you this way, but RTFM. I really don't want to come off as overly harsh, but in the future, just remember that the docs really do contain a lot of answers. "The following example enables PAT using the IP address at the outside interface in global configuration mode: ip address outside 192.150.49.1 nat (inside) 1 0 0 global (outside) 1 interface" http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/iaabu/pix/pix_62/cmdref/gl.h tm#xtocid1 (watch the wrap) ""Paul"" wrote in message [EMAIL PROTECTED]">news:[EMAIL PROTECTED]... > How do you do that I thought that if say, you had 10.1.1.1 as the IP > for your outside interface.
