Hello groupies, I had been a silent observer in the group study list. Just coming back after passing the Switching 2.0 exam today. Total 64 questions. Scored 857 to pass. Passing score 699. Here is an overview. If this can be useful for some other test takers, I would be happy. Questions were grouped as: 1. CGMP 2. Cisco Fundamentals. 3. Trunking 4. Multicasting 5. Multilayer Switching 6. Spanning Tree 7. Switching Interconnectivity 8. VLAN Operations & 9. Troubleshooting. There were some set based and IOS command questions on the CGMP, Multicasting, and MLS. Other than that all other questions were general. Two questions were sitters like just typing the values from a given list ;-) and couple of questions were repeated, I should say 2 of them atleast. Had taken the CCNA in Apr 2000. Was able to take the first exam on CCNP only now due to time constraints and lot of other reasons. I studied Cisco Press Books BCMSN by Karen Webb and the Switching Bible by Kennedy Clark and Kevin Hamilton. Of course, I should say my 5 year experience with Cisco Routers and Switches also helped a lot. Thanks to Mr. Kennedy for making my STP concepts clear. I should also thank the person who made the set based command test software. Sorry I forgot his name. I remember him being a programmer too. The software tester made me to remember the set based commands clearly. Some of my doubts were cleared by the group study list even before asking them. Thanks to all the gurus on this list like Howard, Lady PO ( saying as Lady PO refering your post on the age being in hex :-)). Keep the good thing going. Now going for the BCRAN. Hopefully you will see another exam overview soon. Cheers !! Sudarshan N Chari ---------------------------------- Share the knowledge with others.
