Passed BCRAN today ... [7:2948]

2001-05-02 Thread Chris Haller

Just sqeaked by, but I passed !!! 1 more to go for
CCNP then the hard stuff begins !! :-)

I found the test to be a bit misleading. Many of the
questions did not ask enough of a question to
actually give a difinitive answer, and 1 question on
x25 mappings the answer WAS NOT EVEN LISTED

I commented on that one and moved on.

Luck to all.

Passed BCRAN Today

2001-03-08 Thread Jim Barksdale

Know your ISDN, Frame Relay, X.25, Dialer, and Access Routers.
Lots of fill in the blank, but, you get a list to choose from.
62 questions, I think 75 minutes, 706 to pass.
I used the Sybex Remote Access book and the Smart Certify CBT course.

On to BCSN

Jim

CCNA, CCDA

3 more to NP, 4 to DP.

Passed BCRAN today

2001-03-01 Thread Kevin Welch

Thought I would drop a line letting you know that I passed my BCRAN exam
today, my final score was 849/1000. I was suprised by the amount of design
oriented questions and there was a very large focus on isdn technology. I
plan on completing the BSCN and CID exams over the enxt few months, maybe
then I can justify raising my rates as a consultant :-)

I just want to share my good news, 808 on BCRAN.

I will take CIT next to complete the CCNP! I have Cisco Internetwork
Troubleshooting by Chappel and Farkas. Is there another book that would
work for CIT and help with the CCIE written as well? My plan is to begin
immediately after CCNP to start the track to the CCIE. From what I have
read on the board I would think the Caslow book might be helpfull with
CIT.
 TIA,
 Tom

Re: Passed BCRAN today!!

2000-07-11 Thread Charlemagne

Don't undervalue X.25. It is still in use within
the US, but in Europe and other places around the
globe, X.25 is very widely used. As Cisco is a global
company, your certification should be globally
based and not based on what is in use in the US
today.

Just passed the BCRAN today. I used the Cisco
 Press Builiding Cisco Remote
Access Networks book and the boson exams. The test
 was easier than the
others (ACRC, CLSC). I was suprised to find so
 many x25 questions in such
 a
new exam. Cant actually tell you any questions but
 I would know you ISDN
commands, X25, and Frame-Relay. Now on to CIT!!!
