RE: Passed CCNA with 981
Has anyone had good / bad experience with the McGraw-Hill series of books? I have my CCNA, and am now pursuing my CCDA and am using the McGraw-Hill CCDA book as my main source. Anyone have any comments? --Michael -Original Message- From: Rishard Chapoteau [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Friday, August 04, 2000 10:46 AM To: hal9000; Marshal Schoener; [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: Passed CCNA with 981 Unfortunately there is none. . . Congrats. good score. Just for you info I dont know if u should trust the sybex books for the CCNP. I trusted them with the ccda, and if I didn't at the last minute review other sources I would have failed it. I've heard from various sources that its not a good source. Cisco press is good, but dry. Boson is good also. RE: Passed CCNA with 981
I agree. Sybex just doesn't have enough detail. It's ok to start out with and get a general idea... But then move on and study cisco press :-) If anything, their books give too much information, which is much better than too little information. Just my opinion... -Original Message- From: Rishard Chapoteau [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Thursday, August 03, 2000 12:28 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: Passed CCNA with 981 Congrats. good score. By the way, I was going to do the BSCN next also but the CiscoPress book doesn't come out until October. You may want to get the BCMSN out of the way, then when the BSCN comes out you can hit that. Just a suggestion.
