Look for books by McDysan and Spohn. Think that they have two on ATM. The
older one is called "Hands-On ATM" ISBN 0-07-045047-1
The newer book was a freebe from Cisco.
An old basic book (textbook style) "Asynchronous Transfer Mode Solution for
Broadband ISDN" by Martin De Prycker ISBN 0-13-342171-6. When I took the ATM
course several years ago many of the course diagrams were from this book.

Here is a reference book for you: Analyzing Broadband Networks / by Mark A.
Miller
ISBN: 0072125322

It covers ATM, FR, SMDS etc. I have a few books written by him that I always
reference. It is not Cisco specific though.

2001-07-30 Thread Circusnuts

I'm not sure what level you are coming in @, but the WAN QuickStart book
from Cisco had probably one of the best ATM chapter's I've ever read. I had
worked with ATM for almost a year (BPX's & MGX's), but it was reading
through this book that allowed me the understanding to backup & grasp all
the Fore/ Global Knowledge classes I'd had.

All the best !!!
Phil
