Re: BCRAN books
Jeff, Just passed BCRAN exam on Sunday. Used Cisco Press BCRAN Exam Certification book and it was excellent. I advice to stay with Cisco Press all the way. Just use other books to clarify information. Sometimes Cisco wording can be difficult to read. Used the Cisco Press certification book and the regular course book. Re: BCRAN Books
I used Todd's book and passed the BRCAN last week. Very good book. Of course, I've had a bit a experience hands on, so YMMV. -- Jason Roysdon, CCNA, MCSE, CNA, Network+, A+ List email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Homepage: http://jason.artoo.net/ Cisco resources: http://r2cisco.artoo.net/ ""Anthony Awatefe"" [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote in message [EMAIL PROTECTED]">news:[EMAIL PROTECTED]... RE: BCRAN Books
my study group is using BCRAN by Quiggle and Thomas - McGraw Hill (there are errors but an errata is available from the authors) also Remote Access Study Guide by Buchmann et al (Syngress). They balance each other quite well. You will find that one chapter in Quiggle maybe more detailed than Buchmann and vice versa. Quiggle is great for"hands-on" (case studies and tips on how to hook up a BCRAN lab)memory-charts and exam-tips. Buchmann appears to be more weighty but has a good layout for test prepping. And the book is supplied on the enclosed CD so you can pop it in ur pc or laptop rather than break ur back with a ton-weight of books! hth Derek Lewinson--"With God, ALL things are possible" -Original Message-From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Anthony AwatefeSent: 27 November 2000 12:03To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]Subject: BCRAN Books Hi Guys Does anyone know any good books to study for BCRAN I've ordered Todd Lammle's CCNP Remote Acces Study Guide Has any one use this??? RE: BCRAN Books
Hi Anthony, I'm in the same shoes as you, but I have checked the archive files for this group study and the general opinion of the guysis to get the Building Cisco Remote Access Network by Catherine Paquet isbn 1578700914. I hope this helps or if anyone has anymore suggestions.
