RE: Privilege mode prompt is > on my routers [7:7154]
Actually my brain is so fried from everything else going on today that I just realized I put the router in RX boot mode. Ooh well back to the drawing board. I'll reload the config from a backup and see what happens. -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] On Behalf Of Donald B Johnson jr Sent: Monday, June 04, 2001 3:15 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: Privilege mode prompt is > on my routers [7:7154] null host name Thank You, Don Johnson Engineering/Technical Operations Adelphia Communications Corp. RE: Privilege mode prompt is > on my routers [7:7154]
In response to the various suggestions such as: No hostname Set prompt command (no such command on a 2509 in privilege or global config modes) Config register is 0x2102 That was it. Reset to 0x2142, saved changes and reloaded Message Posted at: http://www.groupstudy.com/form/read.php?f=7&i=7182&t=7154 -- FAQ, list archives, and subscription info: http://www.groupstudy.com/list/cisco.html Report misconduct and Nondisclosure violations to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I haven't tried it, but someone might have been able to put a backspace character followed by the > in the hostname. Try to change the hostname and see if that does the trick.
