All,

Apparently the erased flash problem happened to several people.
I received several requests for how to restore the flash (if you
have an image or the image CD). So please excuse the long text
here. You will need the following:

1. TFTP, it is on the software CD or download from Cisco website.
2. A workstation W95/98 or NT - with IP, install TFTP on it.
2a. Put image in same directory to make it easy to restore.
3. Connect router console cable to the workstation.
4. Connect workstation and router ethernet port to hub (or directly
to each other using a crossover cable).
6. Start TFTP on your workstation.
7. Start a communication program such as Hyper Term to access router.
8. Router will put you in rommon mode, issue the following commands:
9. tftpdnld (after this is loaded you can always use ? for help).
10. IP_ADDRESS=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (uppercase IP adress of router, use any)
11. IP_SUBNET_MASK= (the subnet mask)
12. DEFAULT_GATEWAY=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (any IP on same net)
13. TFTP_SERVER=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (IP address of your TFTP workstation)
14. TFTP_FILE=location/name.of.the.image
15. tftpdnld

That's it. I hope this help.
