I am far from sure, but my guess is that unbound means host-not-specified.
That would make sense since your IP address is a class C and the wildcards
allows all hosts on a class C.

Again, I am not sure but that would make sense.

Hi people,

Just one quick question, while doing the test questions in Advanced Cisco
Router Configuration I stumbled over a question which included 'unbound'
traffic... what's the exact meaning of that?

Context:
Consider the following access list:
access-list 12 permit 192.89.55.0 0.0.0.255

line vty 0 4
access-class 12 in

- ...
True or False: This access list controls unbound traffic.

Cheers !

I'm taking a guess and saying that it's a typo and it should read:
"outbound traffic"

Ciao,
David

RE: unbound traffic?

Since the "u" and the "i" are next to one another on the keyboard I would
image that "unbound" is a typo for "inbound".

Good point,

The U key is the neighbor to the I key, and that would be a logical typo.

Perhaps you meant inbound?
Coz as it is, the access list controls inbound telnet session.
