Sounds like a hardware or memory issue... Check the following links:

RM Process? [7:74198]

2003-08-19 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]
I have 2 AS5300 that have been rebooting pretty consistently. I upgraded
both of them and I am still having the issue. I am seeing the following
error:

00:20:31: %SYS-2-MALLOCFAIL: Memory allocation of 6000 bytes failed from
0x6032D3BC, alignment 0
Pool: Processor Free: 4353544 Cause: Memory fragmentation
Alternate Pool: None Free: 0 Cause: No Alternate pool

and it eventually crashes. I am not ruling out a DDoS. One thing that
caught my attention is the RM Process which is consuming a lot of memory in
a short period of time. Does anyone know what this does? A few minutes
after a reboot of the chassi it increases systematically in size.

Any help would be appreciated.
