try ccbootcamp.com

a bit expensive but seems to be worth it...I intend to buy the labs and
some rack time before leaving for San Jose. I also booked 2 days with
the practice lab in Santa Cruz--a brief ride to the San Jose lab. Best
of luck, Frank

Many different practice scenarios, and they also rent rack time.

The scenarios are free, and quite varied.

2002-02-08 Thread Chris Charlebois

One point I'd like to bring up is do you work for a Cisco partner. If you
do, once you pass the written, alot of resources become available to you.
You can get access to some practice labs, limited access to cisco personal
for help, even (and this depends on you're partner status) access to cisco
labs. Just check and see if any of these options are open to you.

Hello All,

After spending over $25K of my own money on Cisco training within the past
18 months, my budget is running tight. Please let me know if it is worth it
to penny pinch and save to purchase the ccbootcamp labs ($650+shipping) or
solution lab's labs ($189). Is the Solution Lab's labs sufficient enough for
practice to cover the lab test? Any comments and recommendation will be much
appreciated.

Thanks,

Kin

Kin,

$25k and you still aren't ready for the exam? that's a frighteningly high
investment, but I guess the cost of the Lab exam will be a relative
drop-in-the-bucket after that.

I haven't taken either of the labs you mention, but if you haven't worked on
ATM and Voice configurations, make sure that those are included in one or
both of those labs.

Re: CCIE Lab Scenarios - CCBootcamp Or Solution Lab [7:4586]

2001-05-15 Thread Kin Mak

No! $25k and I am still not ready. These are just training classes to
learning the necessary Cisco requirements for the lab exam. You still have
to put in practical lab hours and these labs put you a step closer in
passing the exam. There are a lot of people in this group that have spent
more money and have on the job experience. Unfortunately for me I only have
limited on the job experience. Everybody's road to CCIE is different. For me
its a long and hard road. The only way I see myself achieving CCIE is to
burn the midnight oil putting in a lot rack time working on these labs.

Thanks for your advice anyway.

After spending $25k your up in arms over spending $839 more? Ha! You should
have started penny pinching long before now. My guess is that you would
just be throwing good money after bad.
