Re: Cisco Certified Network Instructor [7:19659]
There is a CCAI, Cisco Certified Academy Instructor, available only to Cisco Networking Academy Instructors. I believe that is what the original poster was referring to. Re: Cisco Certified Network Instructor [7:19659]
Yes, I had forgotten about the fast-track program. The skills based exam is pass/fail and is on the same level as that which you will be giving your students at the end of the semester. It will require you to configure a router(s) to implement one or more of the WAN technologies covered in Semester 4. Obviously, I can't tell you more than that. Re: Cisco Certified Network Instructor [7:19659]
CCAI is offered by a cisco regional academy (RA). You have to join an RA to become a CCAI. If you are attached to a local , must get trained by a regional academy (RA) or a higher level academy. Re: Cisco Certified Network Instructor [7:19659]
Actually, you can become a CCAI at the Local Academy level as long as you received your training (all four semesters) from a Regional (or higher) Academy, passed the CCNA exam, and taught at least one semester of the CCNA program. Re: Cisco Certified Network Instructor [7:19659]
Cisco's cert for instructors is CCSI -- check http://www.cisco.com/partner/training/tponly/ccsi.html (CCO login as a partner required) for general test info for various courses. You must pass CCNA test at instructor level and then take test through Cisco on technical skills (1-day lab) and presentation (2 presentations to proctor). If there's another certification for instructors (CCNI) I'm unaware of it. Re: Cisco Certified Network Instructor [7:19659]
It there any way for someone to become a CCSI without working for a cisco academy partner. How about for someone working at many of those local institutes around town?
