8 bits in a byte...a 64k ISDN is 64kbits..not 64kBytes.


flat out you should see about 8kBytes per second across that line.

(for reference you'd get 64kBytes on a 512k link.)

If you really are only getting 10kbits across an unloaded line, I'd start
looking for serious line or modem issues at one or both ends.
