I've been doing Cisco for a few years at large clients, and recently took on
a Nortel client.

If you want a lot of hand-holding Nortel is not the choice.  On the other
hand, if you are able to get your support from some other source, the Nortel
equipment is drastically cheaper and the backplanes on the switches tend to
be a lot less over subscribed.

Oh, and by the way, the Nortel support web site SUCKS!

The TAC is the best reason to buy Cisco. Service after the sale to keep the
network going is worth the extra initial cost of Cisco. Good luck with your
presentation.
