RE: half sized 19 racks?
I have an Anthrocart rack. About four feet high, with wheels and shelf for stuff that needs to ride along. I don't have any, but you're right about the musicians boxes. I went down to The Guitar Center a couple of weeks ago to figure out which one should be my number eight :-) (maybe a C.F.Martin), and they have some good 19" racks that can be used for routers, switches, etc, and the price was much better than you would normaly pay for them. A small one with room for 3 or 4 switches/routers was less than a $100.- Look at www.guitarcenter.com for the store nearest you, or try other music stores - maybe even ones with used instruments and gear.
