RE: Token Ring DB9 to RJ45 connector [7:33060]

2002-01-26 Thread Joseph Slawinski

You will need a token ring media filter which has a DB9 connector on one
end, and an RJ-45 connector on the other. The media filter basically
"filters" out noise on UTP cables. A picture of one is listed in the link
below.

Hope this helps,

You'll need media filters for the DB9 end of the connection and a MAU on
the other.
Your overall connection will be:

Router->Media Filter->cable->RJ45 MAU (or switch)Hallo, I've got a Cisco

Hello.
You need a MAU to connect the T/R cards and the 4000,
Use a RJ45 - RJ45 cable from the MAU and the card
Use a DB9 - RJ45 cable from the 4000 to the MAU.
You can not connect the 4000 and the T/R card back to back.

Hallo, I've got a Cisco 4000 with Token Ring modules. The T/R modules
have DB9 connections, and my T/R cards have RJ45 connections.

Does anyone know how I can connect these two ? Thanks, James
