Title: RE: Workgroup across VLANs

But
the question askedhow one particular VLAN (ie. VLAN 20) is able to see all
PC's across 6 other vlans, an extended access-list won't do that since initially
VLAN 20 can only see PC's connected to its vlan. If VLAN 20 is able to see all
PC's across all vlans, then your solution would be correct in applying an
extended access-list. Therefore, how do you get VLAN 20 to be able to see PC's
in distributed VLANs?

You need to set up a either a central WINS server or has replicating Wins servers, the first is preferred. It sounds as if the workstations have been broadcasting for each others address, hence the privacy between VLANS. WINS acts just like DNS however it is a NETBIOS to IP translation.
