dialer interface as a backup link
Deal all I was wondering why some people use dialer interface as a backup interface. I think If there were serial interface as well as bri interface, serial can be used as primary and bri can be used as backup interface. mainly because your dialler interface (ISDN) costs a damn site more than a leased line. Title: RE: dialer interface as a backup link You can use the dialer interface to configure mulitple backup interfaces with one configuration vice having to configure each backup interface. Yes. If you dedicate your BRI to backup it can't be used for anything else.
