Re: Upgrade bootstrap

2001-03-14 Thread Thomas

My 2501 was having a 4.14 bootstrap. When I upgrade this IOS to 12.0, I got
"Illegal keyword - 'classless'". However, my other 2500 router with
bootstrap version 5.2 ran fine with the same IOS version.

Bootstrap upgrade is a hardware upgrade. You can obtain thes ROM chips from
Cisco...

RE: Upgrade bootstrap

2001-03-14 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Everyone,

I would like to upgrade to my 2500s to IOS 12.0, what is the minimum required
bootstrap or boot-image. If I were to get the bootstrap, is it a software upgrade or
hardware upgrade. How much does it cost?

Thanks for your input!

Perfectly normal, but it sounds like you've downgraded you IOS to version
11.something. Do a show ver, and check which version you are now running.

Writing the config to memory will stop this message.

Upgrade bootstrap

2001-03-13 Thread Thomas

Hi All - I just upgraded my 2501 bootstrap to ver 11.0(10c). This bootstrap
was sent to me by Cisco. I successfully replaced them. However, when I
reload the router, there's a message:

%Sys-4-New-config: IOS 12.0 or later may not be correctly understood
(or something like that).

I wonder if this warning message is normal or there's something wrong? I am
running IOS 12.0(15) anyway. Thanks All!

upgrade bootstrap

2001-03-13 Thread Thomas

Hi Group - I just upgraded the bootstrap for my 2501. Whenever I bootup or
reload the router, I got a warnning message:

%Sys-4-New-Config: IOS 12.0 or later may not be correctly understood
(something like that)

I wonder if this is OK or there's something wrong? BTW I am running IOS
version 12.0(15). Thanks All.
