Re: [cisco-voip] Migration from MCS UCCX 8.5.1SU4 to UCS - do not see any setting in desktop administrator
I had a similar issue, UCCX 8.5Su4 to 10.5.1SU1 failed to migrate the LDAP database (this stores CAD data etc) . TAC said sorry :) I'd recommend logging into Cisco Desktop Administrator and taking Screen Shots. None of the data got migrated, and this seems to be a common thread. Had to power up old server in lab re-create data. It only took a couple hours to migrate the data via stare/compare config. https://supportforums.cisco.com/document/117376/cisco-unified-contact-center-express-drf-backup-issues From: Michele Russo (AM) Sent: Saturday, January 10, 2015 10:19 AM To: 'cisco-voip@puck.nether.net' Cc: Jason Aarons (AM) Subject: Migration from MCS UCCX 8.5.1SU4 to UCS - do not see any setting in desktop administrator Hi all, I am working on a customer migration and upgrade from MCS to UCS and upon performing the restore I noticed the Desktop Administrator Settings were not displaying at all, see image below: Has anyone experienced this problem? Re: [cisco-voip] Cisco Unity Connections 10.5 Intersite Networking Methodology
I'm speaking from v7, but we found it useful because our clients wanted to be able to forward and send messages across systems. Cross system login is also possible (only have to remember one pilot number). In addition, there are some admin features that you can do across networked boxes. Auto attendant searches also cross networked systems. I would hope there have been some improvements and additional features added since v7. I would hope there have been some improvements and additional features added since v7 In 10x they dropped the SMTP based networking in favor of HTTP. http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/connection/10x/design/guide/10xcucdgx/10xcucdg030.html#pgfId-1072552 On Sat, Jan 10, 2015 at 8:11 AM Lelio Fulgenzi le...@uoguelph.ca wrote: I'm speaking from v7, but we found it useful because our clients wanted to be able to forward and send messages across systems. [cisco-voip] Quick question about Unified Attendant Console
Not really familiar with installing U-AC from what I am gathering (version 10.5); it is still Windows dependant, correct? Use the OVA to create the machine that you install Windows on, then use the AC binary to install. Is that right? Re: [cisco-voip] Quick question about Unified Attendant Console
Cisco Unified Attendant Console has two flavors: Standard and Advanced. Standard, or CUACS, is a client application which you install on your Windows PC, and it connects directly to CUCM. Advanced, or CUACA, is also a client application, however, it also has a server piece in play. Your OVA is for this server. Do you have Standard or Advanced in your hands? The whole purpose of CURRI is to enhance the routing decision beyond the capabilities of CUCM. Which are basically route or block, or ToD filtering. If you want to apply an ECCP to all calls being made by an extension, you might be able to place a catch all translation pattern in front of all other patterns. Example: 1. DN 1000 dials 2000 2. XLATE with ECCP attached 3. DN 2000 I'll reply again if I find verbiage to support my thought, but my gut tells me I won't find anything. For the same reason you won't find documentation stating you can't make a call from a route pattern, but you can from a translation pattern. It's sort of implied.
