[cisco-voip] UCCX, ASR and Grammars

2019-10-17 Thread Clifford McGlamry
Using UCCX version 11 and have installed Nuance ASR version 11. It's ASR is
registered up and recognized by UCCX.

I'm need to get grammars for some really simple applications. Basically,
numbers (spoken and DTMF) and yes/no.

I cannot find any documentation on where to get this or how to create it. I
have found some old references to Nuance Grammar Builder, but that tool is no
where to be found. I cannot even find a good example of what would work (I've
found some grammar examples, but they are so different, I don't know which
would actually work). And while UCCX has some built in grammars, I can't find
documentation on what's in them or a way to download them.

Would love to get some suggestions/pointers/etc. on how to handle this.
Cliff

What tools have others used to parse CDRs for reports for users/departments?

I've written a script, but would like to be able to Windows-a-fy this so others
can do this easily.

Is there a good windows grep out there or something else?

Yea Ive used the konftel and those are pretty decent. Can’t say I would
recommend the 8832 wifi option though for a conference room.

Anyone have any thoughts on 100% wireless conference phones?

Like maybe something that can be docked for charging but you can pick it up and

Maybe some kind of wireless third-party SIP device?

Re: [cisco-voip] tools to parse CDR quickly on Windows (windows grep?)

2019-10-17 Thread Pawlowski, Adam
We have an in house tool that parses the CDR records being loaded by the loader
into a database.

The data is indexed so searching with a front end is pretty easy .

We're actually eliminating this tool as we do not want to store call detail
records for liability and data storage reasons . We do not provide user
reporting on call detail and this has yet to significantly impact anyone's
business that I'm aware of .

shure is the maker of the arrays we use in the ceiling. I'm not sure on
the array model number but here is a link to what they look like:
https://www.shure.com/en-US/products/microphones/mxa910 They have worked
great. we did a integration with a bunch of 3rd party stuff AMX / Shure

good setup and Workstation support manages all except the kits / kit pluses
that we take care of.

We have a GUI based solution called OneView. We wrote it because so many
people asked for a better way to get the data from their Cisco call platforms.
Plus you can automate the reports like you said you wanted. It works for
both Call Manager and UCCX data. Demos available. Just hit the information
page (https://www.donomasoftware.com/donoma-oneview/) and you can
self-schedule from available demo times.

Yes, in my case because it's debian, I would use 'wsl sudo apt install ...' to
install stuff.

Actually this is probably the easiest way to run Python on Windows now, in my
opinion, especially if the rest of your environment is Linux (like mine). The

Re: [cisco-voip] tools to parse CDR quickly on Windows (windows grep?)

2019-10-17 Thread Hunter Fuller
Yes, in my case because it's debian, I would use 'wsl sudo apt install
...' to install stuff.

Actually this is probably the easiest way to run Python on Windows
now, in my opinion, especially if the rest of your environment is
Linux (like mine). The scripts Just Work(tm).

Yeah, I want to be able to input a few extensions with say two or three years’
worth of CDR data that has been exported to CSV files (simplified columns, just
a few) and get output. I’d rather not give them raw data, so I’d probably
import that into an excel.

Variphy is a good product for that. It can pull directly from CUCM thru CDR
billing application integration and digest CDR files from backup files and has
a very user friendly reporting interface. You can also include Unity and CCX as

Agreed. we used those revo labs about 5 or 6 years ago. we told them before
they bought them (Work Station Support had to have them) then after they had
them always dead, they dumped them in our laps (telecom). We knew that would
be an issue... Well as much as I wanted to get on the desk and dance the
"told you so dance" I refrained as we now got to support them.

We have since moved to 8831 to get something that always worked. Now we have
moved to full UC conference rooms with Kits and Kit pluses integrated with
speakers and mic arrays in the conference rooms. Wish we didn't have to go
through all the steps to get here... but glad we finally got there.

YMMV

Revo labs FX2
You get wireless mic's, keypad and base unit with charger
https://uc.yamaha.com/products/conference-phones/analog-voip-bluetooth-wireless/

They were pretty nice, good sound quality.

Looks like Yamaha has bought them out maybe.

Cheers,

Tim

Subject: [cisco-voip] Thoughts on options for wireless conference phones

Hi all,

Anyone have any thoughts on 100% wireless conference phones?

Like maybe something that can be docked for charging but you can pick it up and
put in on the desk and still dial in ad-hoc conference participants from the
device?

Maybe some kind of wireless third-party SIP device?

Cheers

Dana

Re: [cisco-voip] Thoughts on options for wireless conference phones

2019-10-17 Thread Scott Voll
Agreed. we used those revo labs about 5 or 6 years ago. we told them
before they bought them (Work Station Support had to have them) then after
they had them always dead, they dumped them in our laps (telecom). We knew
that would be an issue... Well as much as I wanted to get on the desk
and dance the "told you so dance" I refrained as we now got to support
them.

We have since moved to 8831 to get something that always worked. Now we
have moved to full UC conference rooms with Kits and Kit pluses integrated
with speakers and mic arrays in the conference rooms. Wish we didn't have
to go through all the steps to get here... but glad we finally got
there.

YMMV

[cisco-voip] tools to parse CDR quickly on Windows (windows grep?)

2019-10-17 Thread Lelio Fulgenzi

What tools have others used to parse CDRs for reports for users/departments?

I've written a script, but would like to be able to Windows-a-fy this so others
can do this easily.

Is there a good windows grep out there or something else?

Lelio
