Re: [cisco-voip] VMware ESXi v7.0u3
No issues with 7.0.3 for UCCE 12.5, Expressway, CUCM 12.5/14, CUC 12.5 for me. 7.0.3 is an iffy esxi release though, be sure to read the vmware notices regarding it, depending on your environment and which 7.0.3 release you are on https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/86287 > On Mar 25, 2022, at 15:08, Brian Meade wrote: > > > I just did 7.0U3 for a customer and no issues reported after a couple of > weeks running so far, They've got CUCM, Unity Connection, UCCX, and > Expressways. > >> On Fri, Mar 25, 2022 at 9:58 AM Thomas Maniccia wrote: >> >> Is anyone running ESXi v7.0u3? Re: [cisco-voip] VMware ESXi v7.0u3
I’m going through a similar process, albeit lower target ESXi version. In researching compatibility, and opening several cases, the just of it is: - product specific documentation (installation, requirements) takes precedence - Cisco Collaboration Infrastructure requirements is next https://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/uc_system/virtualization/cisco-collaboration-infrastructure.html What you’ll find is: - don’t stray from major/minor version - you can apply updates U1,U2 as long as they are above any minimum version listed - you can apply maintenance patches In my last round of research, the only Collab app I found that was more restrictive was Expressway. So I was not able to upgrade to ESXi 6.5 U3, but had to stick with the latest maintenance patch just before U3. Hope that helps. [cisco-voip] VMware ESXi v7.0u3
Is anyone running ESXi v7.0u3? We're running our UC applications on spec based HP blades and we're looking to upgrade the ESXi but the Cisco matrix lists a smattering of support for 7.0 and 7.0u1.
