We are currently working on filling an exciting new contract opportunity for an *Java Architect *position that will be based out in *Bloomington, IL* . *Job Title: Performance Architect* *Location: Bloomington, IL* *Duration: Long Term* Client is looking for a skilled Performance Architect to work out of their Bloomington, IL office. This person must have hands on experience of performance tuning for complex web applications *Required Skills: * · Proficiency in Core Java, J2EE applications · Proficiency in Websphere (WAS) configuration commands (performance tuning related) · Proficiency in Performance Tuning of Complex web applications · Proficiency & experience in Service Oriented Architecture (especially SOAP Web Services), · Proficiency in RDBMS and SQL tuning, JVM Heap/memory, ThreadDump, Network latency analysis · URL profiling using F12 (browser debugger) tools · Extensive experience in doing deep dive analysis of Code and Configuration to identify tuning opportunities, propose and code solutions (expertise in APM tools like dynaTrace will be an added advantage) · Extensive Development Experience focusing performance improvements · Good Team player who can work with diverse stakeholders (like business owners/ITS) groups and independently with less supervision and direction · Able to provide direction and lead performance initiatives. · Capable of setting up performance related processes/guidelines including onboarding technology teams to these processes/guidelines. · Quick learner to pickup framework of proprietary Policy Admin System (Java based) to identify and resolve performance issues. · Should have knowledge and able to suggest performance improvement through server virtualization, other techniques that are cost efficient.
