Job Title: Java/J2EE Architect Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL Duration: 3+ Months Contract We are currently seeking a Systems Architect that will be responsible for but not limited to the following duties: * Work with other members of the corporate architecture team and stakeholders to define the architecture and direction for the software platform and product line architectures deployed on that platform. * Performing oversight and architectural governance of product development designs * Ensure correct technical directions and choices aligned with business requirements * The ability to apply architectural principles, patterns, standards, and tools to business and design challenges * Maintain software architecture documentation * Evangelize Architecture and Technology * Analyze risk and report problems MUST HAVES: . Bachelors or Master's degree in computer science or related field . Java J2EE and HTML technologies . At least 3 years of UML experience . 5 years of experience in Service Oriented Architectures . 7 years of large scale, full lifecycle development experience and at least 3 years as a lead engineer . Good communication, documentation and influence skills . Strong analytical skills and decision-making capabilities . Candidate must be able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to communicate design rationale and influence others to move toward consensus .
