Greetings from Paramount Software Solutions Inc. *Title/Role : Senior Architect – Application Integration Architectures* *Experience : 13+ Years* *Location : Annapolis, MD* *Interview Type : In person* Senior Architect – Application Integration Architectures ESB Architecture, Data Architecture, Enterprise Architect (application, integration, solution) Plan, Design, Architect Solutions Tasks include analyzing and converting high-level internal and external business requirements into technical J2EE solutions within the Enterprise Service Bus (ESB). Business needs include internal and public access Web Applications and system exchange interfaces between internal applications and with external partner agencies. Analysis includes deriving business logic and lower level algorithms to transform and route data between systems utilizing several protocols. Maintain metadata repository for system-to-system connector interfaces and data mapping for internal and external systems. *Architecture and Application Design* Application design areas include: 1) Framework architecture to create specifications for a framework that contains plug and play components. Components include custom code, open source code, and commercial code; 2) J2EE application component design and the supporting relational database structures; 3) Internal and external exchange interfaces for legacy systems, using multiple messaging schemas and protocols. Coordinate J2EE Deployments and Environment Configuration Maintain and update deployed versions of open source and custom components. Responsible for the source code control and versioning of custom code. Coordinate deployments with other departments and external partners. Establish J2EE deployment strategies, procedures and monitoring. Maintain J2EE deployment and configuration history detail across all environments including development, test and production. Maintain J2EE enterprise inventory and documentation of components including dependency graphs between all J2EE components. *Oversee and Guide Development Team / Programming* · Program initial skeleton code, perform full coding when deadlines are pending. Establish and or maintain standards for J2EE development group including coding standards, task reporting and documentation. Provide development assistance and coding support as needed. · 2.3.1.5 Testing, Support, Maintenance and Monitoring of the Enterprise Service Bus and J2EE Applications · Design, implement and maintain automated regression testing frameworks for the SOA components and J2EE applications. Maintain library of testing scenarios. Responsible for tracking and fixing reported bugs, and maintaining detailed knowledge database of technical solutions to fixes. Maintain enterprise error log history, monitor and assess health of applications and information exchanges *Required Skills* · Strong understanding of technologies such as Web Services, J2EE Web Applications, XML and XML schemas, data structures and relationships, and some knowledge of specifications such as the National Information Exchange Model (NIEM 2.0), Electronic Court Filing (ECF 4.0), and Justice Information Exchange Model (JIEM) is preferred. · Strong understanding of asynchronous event driven, message oriented architectures, application APIs, relational database design and data structure, and industry proven design patterns and the ability to foresee future trends. Experience in creating design specifications using UML structural and behavioral diagrams, and ability to refactor and enhance an existing production design using a low risk approach. · Must have experience deploying to standalone and Application Server environments (OC4J and Web Logic). Experience required in deploying and configuring shared run-time components across multiple servers, and the scripting required for the automation of deployment and configuration. Understanding of the enterprise architecture and dependency relationships for sequencing complex deployments. · Must be able to program in Java and PLSQL. Knowledge of XML capabilities, and Object-Oriented programming and abstract interface concepts for maximum code reuse is required. Ability to determine programming complexity and level of effort. A strong understanding of ESB Architecture, Data Architecture and core application functionality is essential. Ability to communicate technical specifications, both verbally and in writing, with the ability to document · Must be organized and flexible, with the ability to multitask and manage concurrent system and application projects with overlapping and changing deadlines. Ability to manage resources across projects based on personnel changes, conflicting priorities and status changes. · Ability to program in Java and write SQL queries, manipulate XML, and understand the control flow within each J2EE application and information exchanges. · Experience with system API’s. Education and Experience Education: B.S. in Computer Science or related field.
